Journalism students studying the conservation of Australia’s critically endangered Regent Honeyeater at HPS banded together to volunteer their time and energy to participate in the annual Regent Honeyeater Tree Planting weekend in the Capertee Valley. The students and their families travelled over 3 hours to camp in the Glen Davis Campground, Northwest of Lithgow.
Haberfield’s Rocketry students attended a Hub Day at the University of Western Sydney, Kingsford with a number high schools who are participating in the 2016 Aeronautical Velocity Challenge. This year, the Aeronautical Engineering program extended to include a secondary component focused on rocketry principles. The 10 students in the group attended a workshop at Marsden High School where they developed their aeronautical skills under the guidance of the Industrial Arts teacher, Dean Hannah and his high school students.
Children and Staff from Tianyashi Primary School Chehgdu City recently visited Haberfield PS and signed an agreement placing our schools together in a ‘Sister-school’ partnership.
